Hey,

I just bought a RX 5700XT (the blower one by Sapphire) and now Im wondering why the gpu clock/core clock never goes as high as it should. I played PUBG and I often had FPS drops bcs the Core clock always jumped around 500-1300.
Does anyone know what I can do because im not experienced with amd.
Before that I've had a Vega64/1070Ti and didnt have those FPS problems

Solution
Check your GPU utilization cntr shift o in game. If it's not at max raise the resolution to see if you can get it to max. See how it runs. Next run a benchmark program, the problem might only be in game, but work fine in benchmarks, firestrike demo is free on steam. You can also run aida 64 stress test to check your GPU. If everything but in game looks fine. Do the below.

Run DDU and reinstall your drivers. I would actually uninstall any third party AV and use windows defender during this process. Shields off\ DDU safemode restart\ Install GPU Driver restart\ install windows update restart\ shields on. If that doesn't work and it's not a pain I would completely reinstall windows and do not use a third party AV until windows is fully...

My PSU is the Pure Power 10 600W, and the Temp in idle is 50c, I've never seen it go higher than 75°c in games.
Now I tried playing PUBG and ingame it jumped from 586-1384 sometimes lower than 586 but never higher than 1384 and I had fps drops.

My CPU,RAM,MB are old( i5 4690, 12gb ram, z97) but I've ordered everything new already just have to wait a week for it, but as I wrote i had a Vega64/1070ti before and with that it worked without any problems

Did you find a solution in the meantime? I've got the same problem in some games. Not in all games but a few like Minecraft or Miscreated. Gears5 or Dying Light for example running great.

In Miscreated I get stuttering 30-60fps on low details. With my old 470 Nitro+ I had 90-100 and yes, the GPU Clock performes/jumps somewhere between 600-1300Mhz

I have the same Issues, massive FPS-Drops in Overwatch in my case.
My specs:
MB: MSI X470 Gaming Plus
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x 3.7ghz
RAM: 16GB DDR4-3200
GPU: RX 5700 XT Red Devil
250GB Samsung SSD
Monitor: Asus VG248QE (144Hz)

My 3D-Mark result seems to be fine (GPU Score 6589 on firestrike ultra), yet I get FPS-Drops like these (see attached).
