Hello!

I recently purchased a used RX 6750XT reference edition and it has been running flawlessly. However, I have noticed that the hotspot temp when I play World of Warcraft (on 1080p 144hz) has peaked at 98C after an hour of playing. The average hotspot temp however was only 70c. I was pushing some pretty insane FPS (400 at times) so I was wondering if I should be worried about these temps even though they are temporary and the averages are fine. I know the hotspot limit is 110c but I don't to be anywhere near it. I really don't have the expertise to open up the card and repaste. Should I be worried/run the Radeon Chill option to lower my temps?

Thanks!

you run the risk of damaging your card during repasting, your temps are in line and your performance is good, you should consider taking it apart as a last option, for now either adjust your fan curve on your GPU or take a look at your PC case intake and exhaust to see if there are any ways to improve airflow

If you are pushing it a lot for a long time period, make sure your case has enough airflow and you'll be pretty fine.

It is below the threshold though, so anyways its not really a concern.

It will slow the GPU down if it goes above 110c so you shouldn't be worried.

Because you are pushing it a lot, it gives higher temps, but average is fine, so theres no problem. :wahoo:

EDIT:
Long time high temp usage could result in the card being damaged. (Consider improving airflow anyways, and see if it drops)

Do amd users adjust fan curve with adrenalin software? Thanks
