I'm building a 1440p system on a bit of a budget. In my region, the RX 6800 has been discounted to 400 bucks (presumably in anticipation of the 7800) which is the same price as a 4060ti.
So far as I can tell the difference is that the 6800 isn't great at raytracing/dlss. However the 4060 ti has 8gb VRAM which is just barely enough for some games these days.
In general I prefer maxing view distance/texture detail in games to turning on all the fancy shaders and raytracing. But I don't know if that's gonna bite me in the ass if games start requiring raytracing or something. And there's probably some variables that I haven't even thought of. Would really appreciate some advice on this.
