Need some advice here, I need this pair for 1440p gaming and some light productivity work on the side.

I was initially going for the 5600x but I need the 2 extra cores on the 5700x, will the 5700x pair well with the 6800xt or should I be worried about any bottlenecks? Also what about CPU intensive games? Will this pair handle them well?

(No budget for the 5800x3d)

5700x satisfies 6950xt well, so no problem with 6800xt.

if going for a new cpu the 5700x is a good solid cpu i currently own it and with a 4070 super it does decent at 2k.

also depending on your region if you do alot of productivity

you may find the

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X may be better value and depending on the game may yield better frames more on games that take advantage of extra cores. it tends to be cheaper then the 5800x3d.

( this cpu is what i call the last cpu really as anything higher in its price point to me isnt worth it).
