RX480 Crossfire help!

So basically whenever i open up a game, the crossfire logo appears in the corner but then after a few seconds it disappears. I have msi afterburner running and can see gpu2 usage stays at 0.

What is going on!?!

MB- Asus Z97 Sabertooth Mark II
GPU- Crossfire RX480 8gb
16gb Ram
Corsair 750RM psu
1t HDD
256gb SSD

Have you made sure that the 2nd GPU isn't faulty? If you know for sure that both GPU's work, I would try to switch them to see if the problem persists to GPU2 and isn't carried over by a specific card. If it remains with GPU2 it might be a problem with your 2nd PCIe slot.

Since posting this question i have managed to get crossfire to work with arma 2.. but games like dayz and gtav, xfire logo disappears so it may be settings wise.... or those games just suck for xfire!
