[SOLVED] Rx480 not taking advantage of 75hz panel due to HDMI

I recently purchased and built my own system. I have a gigabyte b450, Ryzen 2400g, 16gb Corsair 3200mhz ram. I just got a Asus dual OC rx480. Before the switch I was able to push 75hz through the HDMI port on my motherboard to my 75hz display. Now with the discrete gpu my refreshrate is locked to 59 hz. I've found that HDMI can't support 1080p 60fps but I was running it off my motherboard. Would a display port to HDMI adapter from my graphics card to my monitor possibly give me my full 75hz again?

Solution
HDMI 1.4 CAN support anything from 720p up to 4k at 60hz, and it can support up to 144hz at 1080p. Either you have a problem with hardware, configuration or the wrong cable.

Could also be a driver problem, hence, configuration. Try doing a clean install of the latest drivers using the DDU.
