[SOLVED] Rx570 overheating - Asus Strix 4GB

I just got an Asus Strix rx570 4GB and it's going up to 88c in games. The idle temp is 34c though.

My system is a dell T3500 with X5690 (3.4ghz) and the CPU idle temp is 29c and underload it's 65-70c.

The airflow is two stock 140mm fans in the front and two 80mm fans in the back for outflow. My old card was a rx560 that never crossed 72 under 100% load.

It's the stock Dell PSU 525W 80+Silver

The RX 570 will get hot when under load (like when gaming), so that temperature is not shocking. Is your GPU new or pre-owned?

It's pre-owned. I got it from a trusty shop though. They will replace it without question if I go back but its like an hour's drive for me and I don't wanna go back for no reason. So thought I'd ask here before making the trip.

So you really think that 88c temp is not shocking? I mean I can just keep using it if this temp is common around this card.

I actually commented on a couple of other threads regarding similar temps and RX 570/580 GPUs today. I wouldn't sweat it.

I did call the shop and talked to the guy, He says its normal for the card too. According to him 85c is normal and hitting the 88 mark in there is nothing to worry about. He did say if I'm not satisfied I can get it replaced within 10 days.
