Hi everyone, I have a problem with my Ryzen 3 2300X. The problem is the constant FPS drops, friezes, micro-friezes, not a good response in the game.

When I bought and assembled the computer everything was fine, and everything was ok, but after that I updated the BIOS, updated the Windows drivers, these problems started.
When I shoot or play my movements are not the same as they were on my old processor from Intel, the response in the game itself got worse. Also, when many players on the server my FPS drops. It became uncomfortable to play, bad spray control, bad shooting, bad movement.

I tryed to use XMP profile doesn't help,
I tryed to use precision boost overdrive doesn't help
I tryed to overlock my cpu doesn't help
I tryed different timing and different speed of ram doesnt help

I turned off High Precision Event Timer in Windows 10 - it helps a lot, but still i have fps drops, but response in the game is better
I noticed that 14 timings and 3000 memory speed are the most optimal for me.
I don't know why but when I change command rate in DRAM Configuration from 1 to 2 game is more smooth.

Hey there,

Well, for me it's most likely a ram issue. Although you have relatively fast ram, you have just 8gbs, and it's single channel. You are probably losing out on about 10-25% performance by not having dual channel ram kit ( as in 2 x 8gbs or whatever combination). Also, with 8gbs of ram, in any new game (not CSGO) your system can use upwards of 9gbs! So with only 8gbs, if you have some tabs of chrome open, along with hardware reserved mem, you may only be left with about 5-6gbs of usable system ram for gaming. Once your ram fills up, you start to use your HDD/SSD virtual mem, which can also cause your issues.

You said your ram @ CL 14 is optimum for you. What exact model ram do you have? Are you using dram calc to set timings or is this the normal timing? Are you OC'ing your ram, or any other components for that matter? If so, the overclocks may be unstable, which could also cause these issues. Run your system at stock settings and test again.

Hey, I am using Memoty Try It (from my motherboard). My ram is G SKILL Aegis 8GB 3000mhz
I am not playing other games, only CS GO. At stock settings my FPS drops(low fps).

Yeah, I highly recommend you buy another 8 gbs of ram. Also, you should install your games on your SSD along with your operating system if you haven't already.

I would just let the mobo set timings at auto/xmp for your ram. If you choose a profile on Memory try it, that isn't for your ram, it can cause instability. Just run them at default to help diagnose if the ram is the issue.

You've said you've tested with dual channel. How? What dimms? the same dimms, or different ones?

i tryed with default, i tryed with xmp profile, yeap i tryed with same ram, I took from my friend, we both bought the same RAM. No changes... All drivers is new.
Also my windows booting 2 times, i dont know why. (My windows is LTSC)

If you are mixing ram dimms, as in 1 that you have and one that your friend has, that could also cause problems. You should buy a 2 x 4/8 matched kit.

You can try test your ram outside of windows with memtest86+. Run it for 4 passes. If there are no errors, the issue may be with something else.

Check your CPU and GPU usage. Your super low resolution is taxing the processor more. I suspect a higher resolution, to actually make use of your GPU, may help alleviate some of your issues. Even in CSGO, a pure quad core, can experience such symptoms, as there are still Windows related tasks, running in the background. Also, check your temps to make sure you are not overheating.

How I already said, My friend and me bought identical 1 rank RAM (Aegis from Computeruniverse).

did u update windows 10? because the recent update is causing issues with audio, video, stuttering in games....
I haven't experienced any issues with audio, but there is a bios update available for the audio drivers for the latest O.S version. It is for my motherboard at least, not sure if there is an update for his.
