Ryzen 2700x or 1800x

Hi, so I bought the Asus B350-F strix motherboard and I was wondering if I should get the ryzen 2700x or the 1800x with 16gb of ram of course. But I was wondering if the 2700x if compatible with my motherboard? anyone know if it is. And will the cooler master 240 RGB be am4 compatible?

The B350 motherboard is compatible, but will likely require a BIOS update out of the box in order to boot with the 2700X.

Couple of things here...

If the board is from one of the latest batches, it should come BIOS updated by default.
If not, your vendor can do it, so you can talk to him about that.
In the unlikely scenario of both the above options not being applicable, you can get a Ryzen Boot Kit free from AMD for updating the BIOS... https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/2Gen-Ryzen-AM4-System-Bootup.aspx

The 2700x is much better and more refined version of the 1800x, and it should be your priority.
