[SOLVED] Ryzen 3 2200g need upgrade

I have pc with this spec :
CPU :Ryzen 3 2200g
GPU : RX 580 8gb
Mobo : MSI a320
Ram : 2x4gb 2666mhz
Psu : deepcool 500w silver 80+
Ssd : samsung evo 860 250gb
I mostly playing apex legend, dota2, i just bought this ryzen 3 2200g for 3 months, but i feel need to upgrade ryzen 3 2200g, because the performance is lacking, i read because ryz 3 2200g only have 4c/4t, so my budget just enough for ryzen 5 series, the price of ryzen 5 series is a bit similar so i got confused what to choose, ryz 5 2600/ryz 5 3500/ryz 5 3500x/ryz 5 3400g/ryz 5 1600. The price is about 125-135$, so what the best i could choose from that? I have rx 580 so i dont really need iGPU, consider with my cheap mobo, i don't really do OC on CPU, and i want use the CPUs for long time like 4 years before upgrade it again, and by the way, i still use potato monitor with 760p 60hz and no freesync, its better to upgrade monitor or the CPUs 1st?

If performance drag is what is at issue, then upgrading the CPU first would be preferable. But at 720p, how bad can the 2200G really be? What are your frame rates?

In apex i got like 80-120fps, but its get stuttering, i read in some forum maybe because ryz 3 2200g only have 4c/4t so i need more thread for rendering, some say because the monitor only have 60hz, i'm in tight budget either upgrade the CPUs or upgrade the monitor 1st, if upgrade the CPUs i need recomendation for it, since i new to pc world.

ryzen 5 series is a bit similar so i got confused what to choose, ryz 5 2600/ryz 5 3500/ryz 5 3500x/ryz 5 3400g/ryz 5 1600. The price is about 125-135$

I used to have a R3 2200g and I can strongly say that an upgrade to a R5 2600 is your best bet as that's what I did and it definitely improved performance, due to the extra 2 cores and 8 threads 🙂

How about ryzen 5 3500x? Although it only have 6c/6t?

Since the R5 3500x is a newer gen CPU it does have better performance than the R5 2600. Either of them is perfectly fine.

My recommenditon is to buy the R5 2600 because of you're motherboard, if you buy any 3rd generation CPU you will need to update the bios, so i prefer Ryzen 5 2600

I'm trying looking for used ryzen 5 3600 but i can't find in my country, and i don't plan to upgrade my rx 580 for atleast 2 years, i think i'll go with ryzen 5 2600 and 6 cores 12 threads is enough for future prospect.

No. A CPU does not have any drivers because the motherboards BIOS deals with all of that stuff for you.
So you would install it and boot as usual.

I think you need to go to the motherboard website and download some things but i'm not sure

He may have to go to the motherboard website and download the chipset drivers but that's all.

Just update the BIOS if your board needs it. Check the BIOS version you have now against the one required for the later CPU. Most likely, going from a 2200g to a 2600 won't require a BIOS update, tho.

I hope it won't need bios update to upgrade to r5 2600, and last question :
With my monitor lg flatron w1953se with 1366x768 pixels and 60hz i got 100-140fps on gaming apex legends high-ultra setting, the problem is i get stuttering really bad, i'm gonna upgrade my CPUs to ryzen 5 2600 and will play at 1080p with new monitor, so the fps surely will drop significant, i was wondering wether to buy monitor with 75hz with freesync or 144hz, since the price of 144hz double the price of 75hz monitor, 75hz monitor arraund 90$, 144hz monitor arraund 180$,ofc money take alot of consideration here, and i don't plan upgrade my GPU for atleast 2years, with 1080p i expect to get 60-80fps on game, so is 75hz monitor is enough for me?

That's a pretty personal decision. But if you are satisfied with visually seeing a max of 75 fps or less, I'd stick with the 75 hz display since cost is a big issue. You'll still get the response perks of faster fps if you are sensitive to that. (Assuming the CPU/GPU/settings of the particular game allow for it)
