[SOLVED] Ryzen 3 2200g on Asus Ex-A320M gaming motherboard

Recently I bought a ryzen 3 2200g processor and paired it with a Asus Ex-A320M gaming motherboard. After that when I switched on my pc I didn't get anything on my monitor. All the wires were connected correctly. Also I'm not using a GPU with this build. The motherboard had a DVI port so I bought a DVI to VGA converter for my monitor. Can someone please help me out with this ? Further details are below...

Processor: Ryzen 3 2200G
Mobo :. Asus Ex-A320M gaming
Ram: Corsair vengeance 3000MHz
PSU: Corsair VS-450 Watt

I see two potential issues: the board might need a BIOS update for supporting that CPU, and the DVI-D to VGA converter has to be active.
