hi guys I'm a bit confused at this point,
I'm putting together a matx pc.
spec is
gigabyte ab350m-gaming 3 was with F5 bios wouldn't boot- updated using a6 9500 apu
2x4gb patriot 3000mhz
240gb ssd
cooler master masterwatt 500 lite
works fine with the A6, but when I switch over to the ryzen Apu the machine just starts the fans for 2-3 sec and switches off.
I've reset bios cleared cmos, tried with 1 ram stick.
the ryzen 3 2200g I bought from amazon warehouse - Used like new condition.
do you guys think its the Apu, I'm returning it anyway? just thinking if I should buy a new one from elsewhere

Solution
Glad you got it working! Weird that your last one would work fine with one chip but refuse to POST with Ryzen.

i purchased gigabyte ab350m DS3H [...] also comes with x370 chipset
[strike]It would seem your mobo uses the B350 chipset, not the X370. It's right there in the motherboard name.[/strike]
It seems to me that F5 is not the right bios.
According to website below the ryzen 3 2200G needs the bios F10. The one that needs the F5 is Ryzen 3 1200.

The Bios F5 is from 2017/06/20 and then there was no Ryzen 3 2200G.

It's strange because in the gigabyte web of my country the ryzen 5 2200G is not compatible (obviously it is outdated!). Later I have accessed the US version. Maybe the same thing happens on the web of your country.

The solution was a new motherboard - i purchased gigabyte ab350m DS3H which came with F1 bios but still managed to boot and even run the same windows which i already had installed .
the DS3H is smaller less flashy , but it works ! also comes with x370 chipset

It is x370 and trust me I've had enough of it. Cost me extra £100+ to figure it out. Not what you want when building a budget pc :D

[strike]Your motherboard is called "GA-AB350M-DS3H"? Trust me, it's a B350 board. Where it says X370 on Gigabyte's specs page is an error.[/strike]

Edit: Hmm, nevermind, apparently it really does have an X370 chipset. But lacks feature(s) of the X370 chipset like SLI. Weird...
