Hello

i just got my build's parts and i did connect everything just fine BUT when i click the power button of my case here is what happens:
- the fans start to work super fast and the MOBO shows CPU RED LIGHT and stays that way
to run the PC i need to click RESET button on my case then:
- the fans go super fast (more than before) and after 2 seconds it goes back to normal RPM and the PC works fine.

i don't know if someone experienced this with AMD and can help me out here please?

Thank you

My Asus MB, shows a Black screen with a cursor in the upper left side for about 10 to 15 seconds.
And yes it takes about 30 seconds to get all the way to Windows.

That is definitely still an issue with these new BIOS versions that support the 3000 series CPUs.
I had a 2600 on this same MB and it only took about 10 to 15 seconds to get into Windows before I upgraded to a new BIOS and the 3700x.

Hopefully it will get fixed eventually.
"Black screen with a cursor in the upper left side" is time wasted on finding and initializing Disk and BOOT sector. Make sure your OS installation is right and BOOT sector, BOOT partitions and UEFI partition are on same disk as C:.

They are all on my C drive (500 GB Samsung 850 Evo).

The cursor doesn't blink it's just a static cursor on a black screen.
It was Not present with my 2600 and my older BIOS until I updated the BIOS (with AGESA 1.0.0.3ABB and ABBA) and installed my 3700x.
So I am sure it is a BIOS issue because I haven't changed anything else besides the BIOS and CPU.

i get it to work already even before updating the BIOS now i'm just having troubles: why the fans start at full speed and the MOBO need to check the CPU/Graphic Card/RAM..etc twice before it shows me the LOGO (because that takes like 20 seconds its like runs twice before it start with the system)
The same thing happened to me when I click overclock in the BIOS and after saving the changes before the system rebooted itself.

Its testing ram to male sure the speed is okay.

My asrock does the same thibg after a ram speed or cpu speed change. If it fails after 3 reboot attempts it goes into limp mode.

Mine is the Asus P8Z77 Deluxe, quite an ageing board but it's still functioning. After saving the changes to the CPU frequencies, it sort of sleep for a few seconds then it wakes up to the new CPU speed. But OP is facing a different scenario, looks like MSI is a no go for now. Asus boards could be a bit conservative but reliable and trouble free. I don't like buying a board where there are many fixes need to be applied, gives me a feeling of an unfinished product. Look at iPhone, it is less flexible but all is good to go upon purchase. Another example is the B450 boards, which need an update on the BIOS for new AMD Ryzen 3 lines of CPUs. I would rather get something which is "ALL GOOD TO GO" and no post-sales cramping up.

Yes MSI really *'ed the pooch this generation. (X570) It's quite the opposite from their great X470 and B450 boards.
