Hello, im not an expert at pc's but i recently built my pc:
Ryzen 5 2600
GTX 1060 6gb
8gb of ram
and i noiticed that others who have the same setup have a lot more fps than me, for an example in csgo i should be getting 250+ but im getting around 120 fps
any suggestions why and is there a way to fix it?

I'd say it's ram related. What speed ram do you have, and is it 1 x 8gb DIMM or 2 x 4gb DIMM.

The point being, if you are using 2400mhz ram, and only 1 stick you are hobbling your system some what. 2 x DIMMS give you dual channel, which would give you a 15-20% boost in FPS (game dependant). In addition, if you had 2400mhz ram, instead of faster ram like 3000mhz, again you are losing out on approx 10-15% more FPS.

i have 2 x 4 gb 2400mhz, i also think its ram related since it couldnt be cpu related cuz i got a new one today

So then, you do have dual channel which is good. Faster ram will defo help, so it worth considering an upgrade.

Also, but maybe not required for the games you play, but a lot of games now will use upwards of 8gbs system ram when gaming at 1080p. When your ram maxes out, you may have fps drops and stuttering, because the system will then use your swap/page file for memory. This can massively reduce performance as it writes to your HD/SSD which is much slower than system ram. Ideally for a gaming machine 16gbs is the sweetspot now, where 8gbs used to be. Id'recommend getting a 2 x 8gb kit of 3000mhz min ram, and selling your current ram to offset the costs. Games like BF1/BF V will thank you for the extra ram :)

thanks mate but i tried changing to the worst resolution in csgo and it usually gives a massive performance but for me theres basaclly no change if i go to the best resolution ive got (1920x1080) or the worst one (800x6000
