Question RYZEN 5 2600 refuses to post

I ordered a Ryzen 5 2600 from Amazon. It didn't post during my breadboard, and it had a 5 short beep code. I exchanged it for a different 2600, and once again my bread board refused to post with a 5 short beep code. At this point I thought it was my motherboard and got a more upscale motherboard (Asrock B450 Pro4). I still am having the same problem. What am I doing wrong?
