[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 2600 + RX 580 upgrade path 2022

I'm looking to slowly upgrade my PC over the next year, so I don't mind doing it one component at a time. My goal is to convert to an ITX build (maybe in an SSUPD Meshlicious or NZXT H1 V2) so I'm sure I'll have to go replace the Mobo at one point. I plan to do moderate gaming and some light video editing. I've had these for 2.5 years now and bought them all brand new, these are my current specs

Mobo: MSI B450 Mortar Max
RAM: 2x 8gb 3000Mhz DDR4
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: RX580 4gb
PSU: Corsair Vs550w
Cooling: Stock AMD Wraith Stealth
Storage: 1TB m.2 SSD

Would you guys have any recommendations on what to go for? What GPU can I get that'd give me the max improvements without upgrading my CPU for now? Thanks in advance!

IMO

Use the current CPU to update the BIOS for a Ryzen 5xxx series CPU (might consider cooling here). At the same time or next would update the RAM to something fast and low latency. Directly after that would consider GPU and PSU upgrade.

With this said, we don't know what your storage options are, case and so forth. From the above upgrades, and assuming everything else is where you want it to be, would be the case update. Now in this, changing motherboard is fully rebuilding your system so it's a good idea to consider whether you want to do that on the front side, or the back side of the upgrade path. Considerations have to be made with mITX as to what coolers fit, what GPU size, power supply format. Make sure that either way you opt to do this upgrade that you have that final set of parameters in mind.

Don't forget your monitor along the way. If at the beginning and end of this you are working with a 1080/60 monitor you may as well save your money in many ways.

Thanks for the quick response and for the tips! i think the motherboard upgrade would be at the backend. I'm not too particular about the case as well, so I think the components would be the priority and I'll just choose the case that'd fit what I have at that point. I'm using a 1TB m.2 SSD for my storage which seems to be more than enough for me. I also plan to keep my 1080/60 monitor at the end of this

Staying with your current psu and a tdp of 180w on the 580 here is a tier list of gpu's you can select from.

Thanks for responding! The case wouldn't really be that big of a priority, I'm okay with settling on what fits the components that I'll have at that point. I'm based in the Philippines, my budget would probably be around USD 600-700 for the GPU/CPU and mobo.

I'd say that to get a decent performance uplift, you're looking at a minimum of a RTX3060 or RX6600 which would be about 2x FPS. An RTX3050 would be about 1.5x in FPS.

Unfortunately, according to PCPartpicker, it looks like an RX6600 is going to cost you about 22,000PHP. Both the RTX3050 and 3060 are more expensive.
