Hello, I have had a cooling problem with this CPU ever since I got it, back in 2021 when I got this built at micro center, the CPU had idle temps of 70-80C (stock cooler) with just discord and a few tabs open, and with COD running it'd spike to 95C, talked with microcenter and they ghosted me, so 2 years later I decided to buy a 240M aio (Auraflow 240X) and now the temps are 45-55C idle, are these good or bad for a ryzen 5 3600.

Thanks

Case: phanteks evolv shift xt

depends what sensor you looking at.

package - 40 to 55 is okay, as its constantly moving'
cores - I used to get about 40c - I used to have a 3600xt

Thats a different case - https://phanteks.com/Evolv-Shift-XT.html

doesn't appear there is much you could do anyway as AIO layout only has space for the AIO fans.

What else is in PC?

what speeds are fans running at?

in the PC I have 32 gb of 3600 ddr4 ram, and a 6900 XT 16GB, i have the AIO fans set to intake and made sure they spin with no interruptions. I applied a fan curve in the bios, but after putting the CPU in a stress test by running siege and other applications, the highest it went was 57, this is at 100% CPU usage for 1 hour. Idk why idle is high but the gaming is cool

The temps are fine. Idle might be a little high so you could raise fan speeds a little, but you well under max temp so I wouldn't worry.
I raised the fan speed and added a really excessive curve but yea still the same, but im not too worried, better than the 70C idles that I had before

Yea, probably, I just stress tested my CPU to the max with CPU-Z using the stress test and it peaked at 65 and stayed at that for 5 minutes before I turned off the test, and after that my cpu is now 38C at idle, so problem solved!

Thank you and have a great week.

For a case that size I would say it's good. It can be quite a challenge getting some of these M-ITX cases down to suitable temperatures. I have had to modify cases in the past, have to be very neat, tidy, and have forethought about how your cabling inside is run to keep airways open. Also, powerful GPU running in there alongside it- which what I think is that the inside of your case is actually just hitting GPU idle temps. Once everything gets cranked up something that small is just going to heat soak. The nature of those cool little small footprint rigs.
