[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 3600 Clocks,Voltages

Motherboard: Asus X570 TUF, BIOS Version 2203 (6/2020)

BCLK: 100MHz, Cores Ratio: first 39.50, now 42.00

So,for some unknown reason,3600's Clock speeds were stuck at 3.950MHz at all cores, no matter the load.I went into BIOS to check what's going on and everything seems normal.I changed cores ratio to 42.00 and now every core is stuck at 4.200MHz with 1.44-1.45V continuously,according to CPU-Z...Thermals are fine.

I originally had an automatic OC through Ryzen Master and ASUS Optimal settings.I resetted and uninstalled Ryzen Master,switched ASUS Optimal to Normal but the issue stayed.

Cinebench R20 Results:

• Score: 3706
• Thermals: 83 Degrees Celsius
• 4.200Mhz all Cores on a full 100% load with a 105W consumption.

So,first of all, is this an actual issue? Can i just keep these clocks and voltages for an everyday use if the system is stable? If not,what should i do?

If you manually set multiplier, it will not change frequency or downclock. You should also set voltage manually, 1.325v or thereabouts should čower temps down and still be stable. If needed, let LLC correct voltage by a small step Auto voltage usually ends up with too high voltage.

You can run 4.2ghz 24/7 if you want...or you can just set it to stock clocks, optimize your memory timings, and let Precision Boost manage the core clocks for you. If you want to go 24/7 OC then I'd recommend you set a manual voltage at 1.4v test for stability and start knocking it down by 0.02v increments until it becomes unstable then go back up by 0.02v and lock in there. I'm going to guess you'll need at least 1.37v or more on a non-x 3600 to be stable at 4.2ghz...it all depends on how lucky you got with your chip.

In my case, the first thing I tried with my ryzen 5 3600 is to put the clock speed to 4.2 with a 1.25 voltage. It is running really well, somehow. I score in the 3700s consistently and in 73 degrees max with cheap aftermarket cooler. sometimes you just get amazing CPUs and sometimes you get ones that barely can be overclocked. Tinker more with the settings a bit more and you might get better results and thermals. My mobo is the msi b450a pro max.
