[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 3600 compatibility w/ ASRock B450 Steel Legend straight out-of-box?

I've ordered a Ryzen 5 3600 and an ASRock B450 'Steel Legend' motherboard, the BIOS version needed for this processor is marked revision 'P2.30'.

I'm wondering what BIOS revision this motherboard ships with and is it compatible? Is the latest BIOS revision compatible with all Ryzen 3000 processors straight out of the box?


Ultimately,
will this work straight out-of-the-box or will it need a BIOS update?

Impossible to tell. There is no way of knowing how long the motherboard you get has been sitting on a warehouse shelf. Expect to need to update the BIOS. Be pleasantly surprised if it's already been updated.
