Hi guys Im planning on upgrading my 2400G to either 3600 or 2700x. Currently Im interested in both of those processors since both of them are really good. Prices are pretty similiar, ryzen 3600 is only 5$ more expensive than 2700x. I know its a better processor but also with 2700x there is a pretty good cpu cooler in the box. I mostly game on my PC. I need some serious advice since I cant make up my mind.

Specs:
CPU - 2400g
GPU 1070 8gb Palit SuperJetstream
RAM - 2 x 8gb 3600mhz
MOBO - B450 Fatal1ty K4
PSU - FSP Raider II 550W
SSD - sx8200pro 512gb
HDD - 1TB

Solution
Go with the 3600x if possible...there's no reason to buy a 2700x today unless you're doing content creation and even then the 3600 will match it in many apps.

The 3600x will make a solid gaming PC that will last at least a few years and comes with a decent cooler.

If funds are really tight then grab the regular 3600 but you'll likely want a cooler upgrade to squeeze the max out of the cpu so you might as well grab the 3600x.

For most games 3600 is better due to higher single core/IPC performance.
2700x has 2 core/4threads advantage.

The 3600 is alot more better than a 2700x . The extra cores are not used for some games and the cooler really isn't that exciting. The 3600 has better performance over single cores as well.

Usually i would agree with the above but it all depends on price and what you use it for.My friend got his 2700x for same price as a 3600.He does video editing so the 2700x was a better choice but if it's purely for gaming then yes get the 3600.I can't justify the price difference to get a 3600x which are basically identical just with a better cooler...
