Hi guys, pc builder here. I'm planning to build a pc (nvm gpu prices in my country they're normal) and I want to ask about stock cooler temps with the ryzen 5 3600 temps. If anyone used it with the stock cooler, what are the temps while gaming and what's the noise experience? If someone used it while rendering, what are the temps too? Thanks :)

Solution
Motherboard, you still on going for Ryzen?

For Ryzen,
a choice.

For Intel something like this,
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/m2...tx-lga1200-motherboard-mag-b560-tomahawk-wifi

I would rather get a motherboard without wifi and get something like this,
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dB...x1-80211abgnacax-wi-fi-adapter-archer-tx3000e
this let's you move the antenna around so you can look for the best signal. Have to say that the difference between for instance the Asus TUF boards with or without wifi in money will be less.
the stock cooler is fine for normal pc use i.e. browsing the internet and watching youtube videos.
you may have issues with temps if you are trying to game or overclock the 3600. if your case has poor ventilation it will increase temps as well. will it work? Yes but should probably be replace as soon as possible in my opinion. as far as the clearance question, i can't answer that

I'm using the stock wraith cooler on my 3600, my gaming temperature is 77 C today while playing killing floor 2. My ambient temperature is 19 C. I have a custom fan profile for the CPU fan so it doesn't ramp up and down all the time. I have never done any rendering but running prime 95 the temperature gets up high I think it was 87 or 88 C last time I ran it.

If the Cryorig is more expensive get the Arctic. Is for your cpu more of a price debate between those kind of coolers. Since you talk about "your country" is it hard to say what is best under $55,- if we don't know what to choose from.

A review for the Cryorig,
tested on an Intel system so when reading these take a look at how they are installed and how they are tested too.

For the Arctic,
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...er,6352.html&usg=AOvVaw3Mk7piWd7fYHgnRnSHL8hf
not many coolers it is compared to in this one.
another one,

Another option if you are able to get it,
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jr6qqs/thermalright-macho-revc-8497-cfm-cpu-cooler-macho-revc

How does the M9 plus not fit then? Is in the specs it is compatible.

I have used the Artic 33 E-Sports and not particulary like the mounting of the fans, but it looks good and performs well. The mounting is easy enough too. Might well go for the 34 edition. The Cryorig i just know from the reviews. A good offer if you can get it for the $26 it is sold for at Amazon.

What does this one cost?

i use this now on my 3600X, with R23 on a loop for 5 min. it doesn't get hotter than 75C with PBO enabled, actually 74.3C and at a certain point it straightens out to about 72.5/73C. The mounting is easy as well and it looks good, pretty quite too especially under normal loads. The 3600X runs at 4150/4175 all core mhz when doing this.

Well would get an ATX motherboar in such a big case.
The psu is way overpowerd for what is in the build and even the most powerfull build with AM4 would have enough with 850watts and even likely 750watts if the psu is good enough so you could save money there.
Hope the gpu is just for arguments sake, would rather get a used gpu for around $200.

Some changes i made,

And then is there the elephant in the room. Intel with their 11400/10400 (or f parts) that outdo the 3600 now gaming wise especially so a better gaming offer,

Oh yeah, the 1000w psu is cheaper than 850w in my country. There's an RM850 that's cheaper, though people have told me it's a bad choice. Using an ATX mobo is absolutely out of my budget, although I'll try some tweaks. The kingston is worse than the Crucial (I think). The gpu is 190 bucks in my country. I would not fo for intel as power spikes and temperatures are literally blasphemous.

Well if it is cheaper sure why not. Think you have another thread running? Seen this before somewhere.

Two reviews about the ssd's,

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/kingston-a2000-m2-nvme-ssd

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/crucial-p2-m-2-nvme-ssd

can compare them side by side with the same tests.

Well for 190 is that gpu in these times not that bad. Still would look for about he same price and see if i could get something better but used. Is up to you, i get the need/want for new though.
