Hi all,

I just switched my mobo and cpu from a asus h310m and i3 9100f to a b450m and ryzen 5 5600 and went to cpu benchmark to check scores and my cpu is running at 3rd percentile which is incredibly low. I have no clue as to why it is running like this. My specs are:

Ryzen 5 5600
MSI B450M Pro M2 Max
Asus KO Geforce RTX 3060 TI v2 OC
Standard Wraith Stealth Cooler that comes with the cpu
Windows 10 x64 bit
Silicon Power DDR4 RAM 16GB (8GBx2) Turbine 3200MHz
Western Digital 1TB WD Blue 3D NAND M.2 SATA
Corsair CX550M 550W Bronze

I've tried clean booting and changing fan speeds in bios and neither of those have worked. Any help would be great :)

Here is the benchmark link

Solution
Given a completely new platform, that is quite likely the cause of your issues.

When changing the motherboard, 3 possible outcomes:
  1. It works just fine
  2. It fails completely
  3. It "works", but you're chasing issues for weeks/months. (for various levels of 'works')
You are deeply into #3.
Yeah, with the OS only recognizing 2 CPUs I would agree on the need for a clean OS install.
No, I just replaced the parts and only flashed bios because of compatibility issues. Should I?
