So as of right now, im looking at getting an i5, but knowing amd is coming out with some new cpus, i wondering if those would be better for light streaming?
I know there not out yet, so who knows, but i would think they would be better:/
if someone could let me know of there opinion on this, that be great, thanks.

I would expect Ryzen to be better here, I don't stream but even so my i5 chokes a bit with FF14, youtube and a fair number of tabs. Note that 14 uses 3 cores, one core heavily and the other two less so, and it does touch the fourth from time to time, depending on what I'm doing in game.

I don't know the performance of the Ryzen 5 series yet, but from my experience trying stream games (lately BF1) on my i5-4690k@4.0Ghz that the i5 isn't a very good streaming processor. Most games will use up the 4 cores (and then some, like BF1) leaving little room for streaming. If you have high bandwidth and can put more strain on the bandwidth instead of the CPU, maybe. Otherwise, I'd image an i7 or the Ryzen 5 or 7 might be better. Not exactly a definitive answer...but I just don't know their real performance yet. i7 is for sure > i5 for streaming, though.
