Hello, I just bought a Rzyen 7 7800x3d and a ASUS b650e-f wifi motherboard (I have yet to assemble the build). I have heard that there is issues with this CPU causing asus motherboards to explode but I am aware that this issue was allegedly fixed with a relatively recent BIOS update. Before I use the CPU in the motherboard I plan on flashing the BIOS to update the motherboard to the most recent version. However, my question is would you guys think it would be safe to enable PBO/undervolting even after updating bios given that these asus motherboards have this reputation with this CPU? Do I need to be worried about my CPU burning out/ruining my motherboard? If it is safe, how would you guys recommend enabling PBO/undervolting?

If you need to know for any reason, my GPU is a 4070 super, I have 64gb of ddr5, and my CPU cooler is a thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 evo.

Just make sure you're on the latest BIOS version using Asus BIOS FlashBack button on the rear, clear the CMOS and then you should be good to go with the build/assembly process. You can use this guide;

different board but the principle is the same.
So you do believe it would be safe to overclock/enable PBO after taking those steps? Also should I clear CMOS before or after flashing BIOS? I just want to be 100% certain...
