Question Ryzen 9 7950X3D or i9-14900k ?

14900K. I can't with AMD it's just something about it that makes me quiver
Have had quite a number of AMD systems from 2005 onward and the truth is that Intel CPUs run smoother and better. It is that magical exhilarating feeling that makes even weak Intels more suited for any of an assortment of tasks. You feel the system is running better. That is quite a beautiful sensation.

It is like comparing any original product to its off-to-the-side rebrand. The original is the original. It is constitutionally better.

Many people may not know what I am talking about, but I am sure that many will.

Thank you! 😉

I wouldn't know, considering I went from an i5 6500 to a 7700x. The 7700x was much faster.

Am very glad you're having a smooth experience with the 7700X.

I still am a huge ATI (AMD) fan in terms of GPUs. In my experience they have continually been outstandingly good. I do have an Nvidia in my current system, but I never really use it.

It's a long story - my experience with AMD CPUs. And let's not forget those stem back a lot in the years. But that was my view. Apart from that I am sure there are people who disagree. And it's good to disagree. What matters the most aren't the components but how your system operates and if you're happy with it. And if you are happy with it, that's all that matters. 😉

I will say that the biggest mistake that AMD made was retiring the ATI branding from their GPUs.

it depends on usage case but id go with the ryzen Ryzen 9 7950X3d main reason is simply power draw

other things to consider is the larger cache size.

i do agree that intel systems feel and run smoother ive used both over the years. i would say i have more issues with amd cards though then processors.
