Hi all.

So im looking to do a Ryzen build for gaming and a lot of reviews say that the Ryzen 5 1600x is the best option. What do you think?

If this is the case then could you please recommend a good motherboard (currently have one gpu) and some decent ram (i only have ddr3 at the moment so will need some new ddr4)

I appreciate your input and time.

Thanks again

I like in the UK.

Im happy to upgrade current case if required - current case is:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000OH10G2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Monitor is:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005OPLG0O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Happy to spend up to £700 on CPU, Motherboard and Ram (also case if needed) but dont want to spend all that for no real noticeable difference for my requirements which are gaming, 4k video streaming and general pc usage.

The 1600 is a better buy, and can be overclocked to match the 1600x. The 1700 is great if you want more multitasking ability. I definitely would go with a better case.

The build is in your budget. You can ditch the GPU if you don't want it. Ryzen is easily overclockable to 3.7 Ghz on stock cooler. Add a Noctua DH15 if you plan to overclock further.
Goodluck.
