So according to AMD faster ram will benefit the Ryzen cpu.

I have
8GB DDR4 2133mhz Corsair
Ryzen 1600 OC 3.8ghz

If I get a 3000mhz 2X8 ram how boost in performance will I see? And overall is it worth it

as far as i have seen, the faster ram helps out the APU's more than anything else. don't think it applies as much to the other chips like you have. at least i don't recall any testing results showing major improvements with faster ram.

you could try a small oc of the ram you have now and see if it makes any difference. you can judge from there whether more expensive ram would benefit your system, though i don't think it will.

you know i like to see it to believe it 😀 not saying it's not true just that i've not seen it yet.

can you link some testing done that shows this? you know i don't bother with random youtube videos 😉

that was what i was thinking when i read the question. i know there is some gain and roughly 5% sounds about right for reviews i have seen.

i'd agree with you that though there is some gain, the cost is likely not worth it. if you were building the system now and only had to pay the extra $30 or so for the faster ram, then i'd say go for it. but already having the ram and having to pay full price again does not seem very cost effective to me.

if those extra 2-3 fps is worth the cost for you, then go for it :) i'm not gonna judge but in my opinion it does not look worth the cost to me.
