Ryzen r7 1700 (170 EUR) vs ryzen r 2700X (349 EUR)

So i have come across a 170 euro ryzen r7 1700 CPU that is around 6-7 months old. which i can buy. now since the new r7 2700x came out i was tempted to buy that one instead but since r7 1700 is a 10-15% less powerful cpu and it's roughly half the price despite being used before.

should i buy the 1700 or 2700x? (B350 for 85 eur vs x470 140-150 eur)

The 2700x has better upgradability and it is newer, important advantage.
Indeed there is a 15% gain from the 1700.
However, the price upstages all advantages of the 2700x.
Ensure that you have the guarantee and that the 1700 is working and go for it.
