so i broke down and purchased a Ryzen9 7950x3d chip. was looking over motherboards for same
and there was some mention of cooling systems for this chip not fitting in ATX case. The motherboard somehow
being the issue. Size matters. The article I read mentioned EATX cases. I am looking at MSI meg x670e ACE or, ASUS
Prime X670E-PRO... or other. I still need to buy the cooling system. I want it all to fit into the box nicely.
please advice. I wanted to resuse an older Cooler Master case. This is sounding like a no go.

You really need to reformat that to be legible. I tried to ignore it and reading it anyway and I can't be bothered.

EATX motherboards are wider, they don't fit in all cases.

CPU cooler clearance can be a problem with motherboard heatsinks and features, but it isn't that common these days. You can always opt for water cooling which basically moves the heatsink to another part of the case (if you have room for radiators)

I would ask why you think you need these large EATX boards and a 7950X3D?

If you are just gaming a 7800X3D/9800X3D and the biggest GPU you can afford is going to get you farther than having to deal with a 16 core CPU with two different frequencies and capabilities.
