I have an S1836 with GX, and was working on my
homework a couple of days ago when the display
suddenly went blank. I have verified that both the
CPU and the memory (a full 2 Gigs!!) are OK, the
PS is acceptable (+3.32V, +5.21V, +12,35V),
so I left with the mobo as the most likely culprit.

What parts are known to die on this motherboard?

TIA

I had 2 die from power problems, and a 3rd die from an undetermined problem.
