Question Saberant 1 tb nvme m.2 write /read speed stuck at around 800 mbs

I have an asus z270 A motherboard https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/PRIME_Z270-A/E12294_PRIME_Z270-A_UM_V2_WEB.pdf
intel core i5-6500 CPU
EVGA 1070 GPU
8 GB of DDR4 RAM

I have updated windows 10, updated drivers, updated chipset, and updated bios.
I switched my bios to x4 and tried changing the PCIE gen to 1 2 3 and auto but nothing seems to work.

I have the same 1 tb Saberant nvme hard drive in another build and it gets up to 3000 write/read speed, no problem

I have also tried switching between the two available m.2 slots on the motherboard.

Any ideas on how i can fix this? Any help is much appreciated

Can you list the specs to your build as well the other system's like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
GPU:
PSU:
OS:

Meaning we're going to see two sets of specs, one for the current system and the other system that has no problems taking the M.2 SSD to 3000 w/r.

With that out of the way, which BIOS version are you currently on? Which slot are you populating with the Sabrent SSD on the Asus Z270-A board? M.2_1 or M.2_2? Any SATA device plugged into the SATA ports on the board?

The second build
CPU i7 4790K
Motherboard z370 A motherboard
RAM 32 GB
SSD is the 1 tb NVME saberant
GPU EVGA 1070 FTW
Windows 10

Bios version is Version 1302 2018/04/17. The latest on the site. I tried both slots but currently on the M.2_2 slot. There is one sata port pluged into the 3rd slot, making sure to keep in mind to avoid the 5th and 6th slots aw well as the 1st slot

Grab CrystalDiskInfo and see what the drives health status is. Hopefully it is blue and says 100 percent if not close to it. If it is read with caution then Im not saying the SSD will fail but this could be why your getting performance issues with it. Also for the heck of it go to BIOS and set everything to restore defaults or optimized defaults and of course that means no overclocking for the time being. Also in WIndows go to cpanel and power options and put it on performance and then get back to us. ✝😷
