Hey guys!

I was just wondering if it is absolutely necessary that I reset the CMOS battery after i did the BIOS update, only reason i ask is because the motherboard has the thermal armor, I'd have to remove the whole thing to reset it.

Hi, No, only if experiencing issues.
However, the board has a CLR CMOS jumper. Check the manual for how to use it.

when i called asus, because i was experiencing higher CPU temps (from 27 idle to 32 idle), they said to reset the CMOS battery. should that fix it? I've tried everything else.

I was hoping at 27, its only an I5 3570, and it was 27 on the previous motherboard, ive even reapply the thermal paste...

How much memory installed, how many RAM sticks, running them in XMP mode? Are you overclocking? Are there applications running in background? 32 is not high. The CPU temp depends on different factors.

32 gb of ram, not sure what XMP mode is, so im going to say no, cant over clock 🙁 (non k version) and only this web page is running

If 32 GB, then I assume all RAM slots occupied. Try running with only one RAM stick inserted and check the temperature.

It was the ram haha I have one in and it runs at 27, I never thought 32 was high, but I was just weird that it went up, thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! 😀
