safe to set custom resolution ?

I have a 1920x1080 DVI monitor my custom resolution is 2560x1440 is this safe for my monitor or should I go back to 1080P ?

your monitor can only display 1080 if it's a 1080 monitor. I'm surprised your system will allow more than that.
