Hey guys I have a Samsung TV, the UN40JU6500, that is capable of 4K at 60hz but I can only get 4k at 30hz. I'm using a mini displayport 1.2 to hdmi 2.0 adapter. All of the HDMI ports on the TV are HDMI 2.0 and my computer, which is the Gigabyte P35Xv3, is capable of outputting 4K at 60hz using a mini display port. At this point I don't know what to do anymore and would really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance!

yes, yes your TV pretty much supports 4k 60Hz. I am very sure about, because I have very similar TV model. And it runs fine on 60hz 4k. I use GPU from Computer and use HDMI 2.0 cable. your miniport to hdmi maybe a Problem AND/OR your HDMI cable. HDMI 2.0 ready does not imply that it Support 4k @60Hz. you really Need a cable that states "4k 60Hz". Else you cannot be sure about. I would use directly HDMI to HDMI. There are also very very few Adapters that work on 4k and 60Hz.

I know that the adapter definitely supports 4k @60Hz however you may be right that the HDMI might not. Also I do not believe my computer itself supports HDMI 2.0 and I'm pretty sure I need to use a mini displayport.

Both of these websites say that the TV has an HDMI 2.0 port and I have seen reviews for the TV in which people say they have used an HDMI 2.0 to get 4k @60hz
