So I got a new Ssd and Im trying to clone my old HDD onto my Ssd, I plugged both of them to my Pc and cloned the HDD onto my Ssd using EasyUs (free version) and I try turning on my Laptop from my Ssd and get the error code 0xc0000225. I tried using a win 10 iso to repair the files but aparently the Ssd is locked. How does the Ssd become locked on my laptop but everything works on my Pc. If someone knows how to get round the proplem, then thanks.

Sent from my phone so forgive me my stupid spelling mistakes. Thx.

Is the hard drive an sshd? I don't know if it matters, [as long as the drive is offline] but- if the cloning software is trying to grab info left 'in-cache' it may cause issues. Anybody know?

Thank you all for your help, me and my friend at work took the SSD and completely reinstalled the Windows OS. It worked! And the data transfer, I'll do that over my home network while I reinstall all of the programs. The issue was that the HDD should not have been cloned onto the SSD as something within the laptop used a different format or whatever he said it was therefore only a fresh reinstall would fix the problem. Again thanks for your help guys and ciao!

P.S. where do I close this thread without the solution being 'found out' again? :D
