My laptop is an Asus Vivobbok 15 X542UQ.
I inserted a Samsung 970 evo plus m.2 ssd into my m.2 slot, but the ssd is not being recoginzed by the bios.
I wish to know whether there is a compatible issue with my laptop model and the ssd or whether it is a problem in my ssd

System Manufacturer ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
System Model X542UQR
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz, 1800 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. X542UQR.309, 19/05/21
BaseBoard Manufacturer ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB

No problem.
Check the laptop's manual. The specs mention only SATA SSDs.
If two m.2 slots available, test both of them.

Solid State Drives:
128GB SATA3 M.2 SSD
Solid State Drives:
256GB SATA3 M.2 SSD

This is what they have given in the specifications list , this means that the m.2 wont work in my laptop right, is it because the ssd is an nvme , what is the difference?
