Samsung 970evo plus or 980 ?

i am looking for a 500GB Nvme as main drive with OS on it.
i heard 980 does not have DRam which is kinda bad.
price difference isnt much so just wanted to know which one is better in long run as OS drive.

970 Evo plus, not only (less important) in tests but also in real work because of dram cache.
980, only PRO is worth something specially if your PC has PCIe 4.0

Users might disregard SSDs without dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), but Samsung's 980 SSD line is just as fast as DRAM SSDs.

But in a blind test on identical systems and uses, I defy anyone to tell the difference.

I have in use various Samsung SSD/M.2 within the 8xx and 9xx range. For the 2.5" SSD that I have deployed there is simply no way you would know which one you are on from an operational standpoint in the various machines without looking. There is no notable difference by seat of the pants in performance for any of them.

I saw some benchmarks showing 970 Evo plus with about 10% faster performance than the 980. But, in real-world use, I don't really see that much of a difference between the two.
