Question Samsung 980 PRO Volume cannot be found

Hello,

I just bought a Samsung 980 PRO 2TB nvme SSD. When I installed the SSD, I attempted to use it to migrate my OS and files from my Crucial SSD to the new 980 PRO.

I initialized the new SSD and was able to get the BIOS, Disk Management and File Explorer to detect the new SSD; however, when I use Samsung's Migration Tool using their Samsung data migration software (Samsung Magician), the new SSD could not be detected. It only detected the Crucial SSD.

I went through Disk Management to make sure the 980 was initialized and had a drive letter assigned. All of that was fine, but when I went to check the Volume of the 980, it kept popping up the "Volume information for this disk cannot be found" error. This made it so that I could not even create a backup of my old SSD onto the new 980 (which I was attempting to do in order to migrate all of my data onto the 980 from the Crucial SSD)

I cannot figure out what I am doing incorrect and am thinking I need to return the new 980.

I have checked for updates for my Win10 OS, the drivers for the 980 and anything else I could look up on the internet. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 980 into the mobo.

Currently, I'm using an Aorus x570 I PRO WIFI mobo that has 2 slots for the M.2 nvme ssd. I checked to make sure my mobo would support the Gen 4 980 PRO and it all seems to be fine.

I read through posts here and on the internet and have done the troubleshooting they recommend (update drivers, make sure disk is initialized and a drive letter assigned, used a partition tool to help recreate the partition, etc)

The 980 shows up in disk management, the BIOS, and in the File Explorer as ready to go. I could even save images and documents to it in the File Explorer, but I am unable to migrate my OS to it because of the "Volume cannot be found" error I keep getting

Out of curiosity, how are you migrating the OS onto the Samsung 980 Pro SSD?
I was going to use Samsung's Magician Data Migration Tool. If that didn't work, I was going to just use the old System Image method, but I was/am rusty with it so I thought I'd try the tool from Samsung first. I was going to try any method I could, but once I saw the volume cannot be found error, I couldn't really move forward.

Originally, I planned to use the Minipartition Tool but for some reason, v10 (the free version) would not work at all. It wouldn't get past the startup screen for the tool.
