Question Samsung 990 NVMe Pro vs non Pro

Purchasing a 2TB NVMe drive. For some reason Samsung sells a PRO version of the 990 as well as a non 'PRO'.
The PRO version costs $100 more.
Is it worth it or is this just marketing?

Depends, what sort of tasks will you be taxing the drive with? What other options do you have at your disposal? Speaking of disposal, what motherboard and processor combo are you working with?

The Pro has DRAM, the EVO does not.
The Sequential speed of the Pro is higher. But you will almost never ever notice that.
