Why can't they make a Chrome-based iPad contender? That would be much more compelling to look into than yet another netbook.

hopefully this smart phone in a netbook case thing is just a fad. it really is going in the wrong direction. computers are supposed to be getting more capable, not less capable. other than cheesy phone apps, what can you do with these things other than halfass browse the web. I can't use full office suites, nor can I play a simple DVD, its utterly pointless over my smartphone which I already have anyway.

Just make sure that is a SSD, and give it an Intel Atom CPU, and these will destroy the competition.
