[citation][nom]ivanto[/nom]" Samsung shipped 18 million Galaxy S3 units during the third quarter. .... And became the best-selling smartphone on the planet during the third quarter, a title that was held previously by Apple's iPhone 4S."When will this lie stop? Apple sold 26 million iPhones in that quarter. Clearly 26 is more than 18.[/citation]
I thought iPhone users were supposed to be "smarter"?
Your reading comprehension needs improvement. Apple sold 26 million iPhones, 16.2 million of those were iPhone 4S's. The 4S held the biggest chunk of iPhone sales, just as the Galaxy S3 held the biggest chunk (18.1 million) of Galaxy sales, which were 44 million for that quarter (and as i'm sure you can determine on your own, 44M > 26M.
So, in summary, Samsung's best-selling smartphone beat Apple's best-selling smartphone, AND Samsung's entire smartphone line outsold Apple's entire smartphone line.
Also, despite the expectations of record iPhone sales, Samsung is projected to widen it's lead in Q4 with estimates of about 12M more galaxy sales as compared to iPhone.
Apple analysts continue to be baffled by the steady drop in Apple's stock price, while the explanation is crystal clear to guys who know the tech. Apple is not a comeback-team...they only play well with a lead.
