Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic poor battery life.

I got the Watch 6 Classic on the 17th of April, around noon. At the time of writing this, it is 5:28 PM on the 19th. I am aware that in the beginning the watch is learning usage patterns and that drains the battery faster, however, I was able to see this message being displayed when I went into Settings -> Battery and Device care, on my watch. The message isn't there anymore but I'm suspecting that it's still learning the usage patterns because that to me is the only explanation for the really poor battery life. It lasts about 9 hours, only. I do have the watch face on always on, but it really shouldn't reduce the battery life this much. Other than that, the Wi-Fi on my watch is off, I've turned off the voice activated Bixby and Google Assistant and always close background apps.

One thing to note is that when I go to the wearable app on my phone and go into battery, it appears that Google Maps is using 103.3%. I don't know if this is normal.

Any help, insight and/or advice, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Depends on the topic. As you can see, no one jumped in here, yet.

Feel free to assist if you can.
Fair enough. I'll be honest, I've had a bit of booze and while my statement holds true it doesn't contribute. You are correct.

First question would be, did you use a different watches backup when setting this one up? I'm not a fan of using previous devices to mirror on a new device.

Second, don't kill background apps. Background apps are managed by the system, same as your phone. Every time you kill them, the watch will use more juice to start them back up from a cold start.

Third. I have had a Gear S3 (Tizen) and now a Watch 4 and Watch 5 Pro (Android Wear) and can with confidence tell you, maps it's not behaving correctly. First step would be to clear the data of maps. Ensure that maps isn't syncing to your phone for direction on your watch. Uninstall (updates) and let the play store reupdate it.

Lastly, learning does work and does take some time. However your situation with maps will screw that up. Try the above and then and I absolutely HATE when people suggest this, reset the device (watch) and don't restore any backups. Set it up from scratch. Go through every setting in Galaxy Wear/Watch Plug in on your phone and only sync what you need/want.

If you come across a specific question I can try and help based on my watch (IIRC we are on the same WearOS version). Just please post here (tagging me) and not PM. PM handled support doesn't help others in the future who may face similar issues.

Hello, the issue was resolved. It was in fact, just learning usage patterns.

The battery duration (time) it showed me on full charge increased with every charge, each day. I think it is close to two days now, if not exactly two days.

My main concern was the fact that the message the watch was showing about learning usage patterns, disappeared after maybe a day or two so I wasn't sure if it was still learning usage patters or if the problem was something else.

I appreciate your help. Thank you! 😀
