Question Samsung Magician doesn't see partition!

So attempting a simply clone of my C drive to an empty 2TB Samsung NVMe drive.

I first created 2 partitions on the new 2TB drive using Disk Manager in Windows.

2 issues in Magician.

- When I attempt a data migration it doesn't see my new partitions
- There are no parition options in the Magician software, they should exist under Drive Mangement according to the documentation


I've read that Magician does not play well across a USB connection for nvme drives. Is this true?
I am using an external NVMe enclosure and connecting via USB.
It definite;y shows up and I can target it.
But I am trying to target just a single partition for the cloning process.

What is the size and partitioning of the Source drive?

Please show us a screencap of your Disk Management window.

Note: Magician doesn't really work well with partitioned drives. It wants to consume the entire target drive.

Maybe thats the issue. Maybe I'll just forget partitioning but was hoping to have a 1TB startup partition and use the remainder as a cache drive.

Having the cache space on the same physical drive is no no different than having it in the same partition.

Just leave it as one big partition.
