Do any of you know the Samsung memory PC3200 512MB CAS 2.5 DDR 400MHz coud be work well with GA-8SG667 or not? and how its performance compares with Corsair 512MB PC3200 CAS 2?(according to the tests, Samsung 256MB , it works well with that MB ).
Thanks a lot for your help

I actually have two of those Samsung DDR400 512meg CAS 2.5. I bought them after discovering that the Corsairs won't run at DDR400 or faster. Running without a hitch on my GA-8SG667, 2.66 OC 3.0Ghz for past 2 weeks. Like any other Samsung DDR, you need to burn them to get your maximum performance out of them. Leave it at 400Mhz for a while then slowly clock them up.

Hi Rsuh

I finished up my new system 5 days ago with Corsair DDR400 CAS 2 512MB DIMM. Where do you check to see that Corsair runs at the indicating level?
Thanks

8SG667 supports DDR400 just fine. In fact it's the only board Anandtech tested that worked with 3 DIMMs at that setting. But they used Corsair. You see, most of the Samsung RAM I've seen advertized as DDR400 was simply overclocked DDR333. You know it's overclocked when it says in the details it requires a non-standard voltage, like 2.6-2.7v.

Anyway, I'm sure there's REAL Samsung PC3200 out there by now, but I haven't looked recently. I would suggest Corsair Cas2 as it's faster.
