Hello everybody, today while I was helping my grandparents with something I found a Samsung CM22WS monitor on a pile of trash, it seemed pretty intact so I brought it home, I tried to turn it on but It didn't do anything so I opened it and connected a disconnected power cable, now it turns on and works normally, I even tried it with my pc and everything, it just shows a red color tint all over the screen and menus, even when disconnected from the pc, any idea that may be causing it? I want to know if its actually worth trying to repair it or not.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Sometimes due to a bad graphics cable from the computer's GPU but that can't be the case here because it has a red tint even when not connected to a PC ---- so it's an internal hardware or configuration fault. If you can't correct it with the monitor's colour settings via the OSD then it's not worth bothering with in my opinion, obviously an opinion shared by the person who dumped it in the trash.

I was thinking the same, I tried to change color settings in the OSD and nothing changed so probably its a hardware error, I will try to check if all internal cables are properly connected and if I cant fix it I will just throw it in a electronics recycle center nearby.

Thank you very much for your opinion!
