Its a 32gb drive, its all what I need for win8
Is it a normal ssd that I can use for boot or its a special drive that can only be used for caching?
Thanks

The SanDisk ReadyCache is not a primary boot drive. The operating system, software applications, utilities, and games are installed on a hard disk drive. The cache is used to improve hard disk drive performance. Caching was designed for users who could not afford a solid state drive.

The current price for SanDisk ReadyCache over at newegg.com is $49.99 USD. When there is a sale you can get a good 120GB ssd for about $30.00 more.

I understand that thats what this is intended for...
ButI cannot reformat it and use it as a boot drive?

The SanDisk ReadyCache ssd is a standard ssd. You have to install the Condusiv Technologies' ExpressCache software that comes with the ReadyCache in order to use the ssd as a cache.

Based on that information I would say you could use the ReadyCache as a standard ssd.
