Question Sapphire nitro+ question

Hello. I was looking at a used sapphire nitro+ 6700xt and what caught my eye is that the X shaped metal thing in the backplate (mounting bracket for cooler?) is brown-colored while every image of a new one shows it as black. What can be the cause of it? Or is it natural to happen?

What can be the cause of it? Or is it natural to happen?

It can look different depending on reflected light and view angle.
It's basically a polished piece of metal with almost mirror finish.
