Hi,

I was cleaning my PC yesterday as it was long overdue and came to the GPU, I already had planned to use PTM 7950 considering how much people praise it for its longevity. Turns out I had a bigger issue with the thermal pads on the memory, they looked absolutely destroyed and so crusty I had to go at it multiple times with alcohol pads and gently scrapping it with my fingernail to get them off. Unfortunately, with the state of the pads themselves, I couldn't get enough to measure its size with a vc and now I am lost as to what to do.

I have searched around online and turns out people with Pulse 6750 XTs are unicorns. There is no information about the pad sizes for the Pulse 6750 XT, I was thinking of using the same pads as mentioned by owners of 6700 XT Pulse cards, but I am not completely sure if Sapphire didn't change anything.

I tried contacting Sapphire support regarding the sizes and they are not very helpful and instead give me the equivalent of an automated response to use GPU-Z to record temperature logs and send it to them while I have already mentioned that the GPU is taken apart and the thermal pads are destroyed to the point I cannot put it together back and risk any stress test on it.

I am turning to here to see if anybody with a fellow 6750 XT Pulse have the size measurements for the GPU. Please help a brother out !

If you have easy access to sheets of PLA, that range from 1mm and above, you could probably use them as a gauge to how thick of a pad you need. You could also just buy an assortment of .5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm and 2mm thick pads to work with your GPU.

Just an FYI, even you took a nail to the thermal pads, you should still be able to get a rough gauge as to the thickness of the pads.

You sure you looked around...

I wish I was joking when I said it was destroyed, but it literally was the definition of dry and crusty and crumbled as soon as I tried to wedge out a piece. I couldn't get a sizable enough piece for the vernier caliper to hold and measure.

Are you sure you read my post correctly ? I am not sure if Sapphire changed anything with the 6700 XT vs the 6750 XT.

I came across the post you shared, which is what I mentioned in the post as thinking of using the same but unsure if Sapphire did any changes.
