Sapphire RX460 Stopped working - Black screen..

So i was on my pc running wwe 2k18, pretty demanding game for my shitty pc, got up to plug in my speakers, make a sandwitch. Came back in like 5 minutes, my pc was showing a black screen. Tried to reboot, remove, put back in gpu , nothing. Keyboard,mouse all light up,but nothing on the screen. The gpu fan was spinning so it's not completely dead. When i removed the gpu, plugged my Vga cable into my mobo it booted from apu graphics fine. Anyways, i think 2 things could've happend. - My gpu only outputs displayport, hdmi, so i use a adapter from hdmi to vga because i'm using an old hp monitor. My Adapter died or my card is dead. I still have warranty on the card, but it's scary when it does this shit. Any tips to fix it? I have had some issues where the card freaks out and pixelates my screen in like green,pink pixels, i get an error - " Graphics device stoped responding " or something like that. Full specs -
Amd A8-7600 3.1ghz apu
Sapphire Rx460 2gb
2 sticks of 4gb hyper x ddr3 ram
MSI A68HM-p33 V2 mobo
FSP460-60HCN power supply (460W)

try to test gpu in another system with driver and i would also use occt to stress test psu .

I did put it in a diffrent system, still the same black screen. Only hope is for me to find a hdmi cable and connect it to a tv. If thats the case i'd be so happy. But why would an adapter fail outta nowhere? 99% that the gpu failed,not the adapter.

do you have a tv that have hdmi input you could try for test without the adaptor .

I do, but i don't have a hdmi cord at the moment. Thats my only hope. I hope its the chinese adapter. If it's not i'm <<Inappropriate language x2 removed by moderator>>. Can't afford a new gpu.

So i tried to connect a tv box(dunno the name in english, you like connect them to a tv to watch channels) via the adapter to my monitor - nothing. Is that just it being <<snip>> or the adaptor is gone?

Update: I connected an old pc i had laying around via the vga to hdmi adapter to a tv and it said nothings plugged in,just like on my monitor. How sure can i be that its the adapters fault?

this lead to the adaptor since even on another system you dont have signal could you post main monitor and gpu details .
