SATA 3 SSD running in SATA 1 mode

I have an AMD Radeon R7 2.5" 240GB SATA III SSD connected to a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 through a sata 3 port using a sata 3 cable.

Yet my speeds are slow and SSD Guru is telling me this:

I have the latest marvel sata/raid driver installed from gigabyte. My speeds use to be much higher but I somehow did something to limit it to Sata 1 speeds. How do I fix it? Trying my hardest not to restore my pc.

Did you connect it to first SATA port ?
I don't see any Marvel controller drivers on my MB. Maybe you should uninstall it.

Craziest thing. Uninstalled the marvel thing like you said and updated the chipset from AMD website then rebooted. Showing connected to sata3 port now.
